Hotshot rookie Lightning McQueen cares about one thing: winning the Piston Cup. Stranded in a forgotten Route 66 town on the way to the big race, he is sentenced to repave its road and slowly learns what its people, and its gruff old judge, have to teach him.
The default: films the whole family can watch together; any scary or intense moments for the littlest viewers are flagged in the Context Notes.
Why it’s here
A self-absorbed racer is humbled in a forgotten small town, learns from an old champion, and gives up a trophy to honor a fallen rival. It treasures small-town America and the wisdom of elders.
Context notes
For parents, before you press play.
