About

Living Films is a working catalog. The name is a working name. It holds a hand-kept canon of films for intentional, traditionally minded Christian families, many of them teaching at home, who want a shelf rather than a feed.

The standard is Philippians 4:8. Age bands are guidance for parents. They are read from the canon’s own list, and a stricter band is not a judgment that the film is deeper. The descriptions of those bands can change when the canon changes, without a rewrite of the site.

This site does not stream anything. Where a physical edition is known, the film page leads with it. Where a buy link, a rating, or a trailer is still blank, the page says so or leaves the row out. Editors fill those gaps. Nothing here is guessed.

The essay on the Philosophy page is the reason the list exists.
